Carpet Cleaning Marbella

The Metroclean methods and practices for rug and carpet cleaning are widely recognised as being the most effective for fabric cleaning and care. We do not use steam cleaning or wet shampooing. There are two processes we use and the application of both depends on the material being treated.

Hot Water Extraction

Hot water extraction is the process by which hot water mixed with an alkaline chemical is injected into the material and then removed with a powerful vacuum. The injection of water is always a flash rather than a soak. The process is normally applicable to Chinese and Indian rugs as the wool yarn is normally washed after dyeing meaning that the excess colour (which is not properly fixed) has been removed.

Hot Solvent Cleaning

Hot Solvent Cleaning is the process by which a hot solvent is injected into the material and then removed with a powerful vacuum. The process is comparable to dry cleaning and must be used on delicate fabrics which are either sensitive to water or prone to colour run. In Hot Solvent Cleaning, the chemicals pass around fibers in the rug whereas in Hot Water Extraction, the solution is absorbed into the fibers in the rug.

Stain Guard

Once a carpet or rug has been cleaned, the application of stain guard will prevent the penetration of further spills.

Stain Guard is a transparent solvent based chemical suitable for nearly all types of carpets and rugs. Its special formula repels water based spillages including wine, fruit juice, coffee and tea.
